Enda Kenny says the sector will again deliver job creation.
The Taoiseach's dubbed 2014 as the year of jobs and he says he expects to see a major improvement in the construction sector next year.
He says there's evidence of it already with the stimulus in the budget in respect of small work on top of energy re-fits.
And Enda Kenny says small and medium developers will kickstart greater recovery in construction.
He says he also expects a higher level of interest in the commercial sector.
