The local community in Fethard is coming to terms with the death of a man in a tragic accident at around 5.30 last evening.
The man in his 20s was on a teleporter with another man when the machine overturned at the stud farm in the Coleman area.
The dead man was from Newcastle in the UK.
The other man – who was also in his 20s and from Fethard – is being treated at Cork University Hospital.
His injuries are said to be serious but not life threatening.
Investigations have been launched by both the Health and Safety Authority and local Gardaí.
