Voting in France underway

The first round of voting in France’s Presidential election is under way – with fears it could be affected by Thursday’s terrorist attack.

A police officer was killed on the capital’s Champs Elysees.

The wives and partners of French police officers marched through Paris yesterday to demand an end to the violence.

There are 11 candidates to choose from today.

If none of them wins an absolute majority, the top two will face a run-off in a fortnight.
