Of particular concern was the disparity between North and South Tipp when it comes to Foreign Direct Investment jobs with the south of the county faring much better.
Tipperary has had a number of job announcements in recent months, including Amneal in Cashel, Eishtech in Clonmel and Wood Energy Solutions in Cahir.
However, there is still a lack of employment in parts of the county, particularly in North Tipperary.
At this morning’s meeting representatives from the IDA outlined the difficulties they face in attracting FDI to parts of North Tipperary due to a lack of infrastructure and suitable premises.
