Calls have been made for Tipperary County Council to find a site for a retirement village in Cahir.
The issue was raised at this months meeting of the Clonmel Borough District by Councillor Andy Moloney.
In their response, the council say they are supportive of the idea where it’s undertaken in partnership with an approved housing body.
Councillor Moloney says that it could also benefit the council’s efforts to ease the housing waiting list.
