There are 474 people waiting on trolleys at hospitals around Ireland.

University Hospital Limerick, which gives emergency department cover for North Tipp, is once again the most overcrowded in the country today, with 61 people awaiting a bed.

That’s followed by 41 at Cork University Hospital, and 36 at University Hospital Waterford.

South Tipp General has 27 people on trolleys or in overflow wards.
