South Tipp General included in NPF

Tipperary’s main hospital is finally getting national attention – according to a Tipperary TD.

The facility will benefit from the National Planning Framework, which has officially been unveiled this afternoon.

It will see €16 million allocated for the new 40 bed modular unit – and also includes plans for a new 50 bed unit, costing an estimated €24 million; as well as a new outpatient clinic – which requires €3.2 million in funding.

Tipperary TD Michael Lowry has welcomed the news.
