Simon Harris to meet Hospital Action Group

The Minister for Health Simon Harris has confirmed he will meet with representatives from the Save Our Acute Hospital Action Group in Tipperary.

Fine Gael are in Clonmel for the party’s annual think-in this week.

Simon Harris last visited the hospital in October last year, when he described the conditions as ‘utterly unacceptable.’

However, any plans mooted at the time have not yet moved forward.

The Minister will visit St Theresa’s Hospital in Clogheen and the Circle of Friends Group in Tipperary Town on Friday afternoon before meeting with the Hospital Action Group.

Deputy Seamus Healy extended the invite to Minister Harris, and says he hopes some progress can finally be made.
