56 people are being treated on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick today.

They are among 232 patients who have been admitted to hospitals around the country but have been left without a bed.

Once again UHL – which serves North Tipp, Limerick and Clare – is the most overcrowded health facility.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation is also reporting two people are being cared for on trolleys at South Tipp General in Clonmel today.
