Overcrowding continues in hospitals serving Tipperary

Overcrowding is continuing in hospitals serving county Tipperary today.

University Hospital Limerick – which serves North Tipp – is the busiest in the country.

There are 60 people in need of a bed at the Dooradoyle facility – up from 51 yesterday.

Meanwhile, the numbers being treated on trolleys at South Tipp General have increased slightly also – from 25 yesterday, to 27 today.

Nationally there are 668 patients being treated on trolleys in Emergency Departments and in overflow areas of wards across the country this afternoon.
