Hospital overcrowding continues unabated

South Tipp General in Clonmel has 22 people waiting on trolleys in the Emergency Department and in overflow areas of wards.

While University Hospital Limerick – which serves North Tipp – has 32 patients waiting today.

Cork University Hospital is the most overcrowded in the country with 43 people in need of a bed followed by St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny with 39 waiting.

According to the INMO – there are 483 patients waiting for a bed at hospitals across the country.
