Hospital overcrowding continues

There are 440 patients on trolleys at hospitals nationwide today.

41 of these are at University Hospital Limerick which provides emergency department cover for North Tipp.

Meanwhile 29 people are without a bed in South Tipp General Hospital, Clonmel.

There are currently 6 people being cared for on trolleys in Nenagh General.

Cork University Hospital is the worst affected according to the INMO, where 43 people are waiting for a bed.
