Census 2016 shows that the average age of the population in the Premier is 38.6 compared with the national average of 37.4.

Fianna Fail TD Jackie Cahill says these figures should act as a wakeup call for the Government

The Thurles based Deputy says it shows we need to invest in a proper infrastructure for our aging population.
