458 patients are waiting on trolleys across the countries hospitals today.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says 303 are waiting in emergency departments, while 155 are in wards.
The worst affected hospital is Cork University hospital where 48 patients are waiting for a bed while there are 45 at University Hospital Limerick.
South Tipp General in Clonmel has 16 people without a bed this afternoon.
