Almost 70 women from Tipperary travelled to the UK for an abortion in 2016.
New figures from the British Department of Health show that it accounts for 3% of all Irish women who went to a clinic in England or Wales for a termination.
The statistics come after the UN Human Rights Committee ruled Ireland’s abortion laws were inhumane.
