Over 50 patients on trolleys in hospitals serving Tipperary

They are among 541 around the country according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation which is up more than 40 on yesterday.

South Tipp General has 28 patients without a bed while there are 23 at University Hospital Limerick.

University Hospital Cork is the most overcrowded with 41 people being cared for on trolleys around the Emergency Department or in overflow areas of wards.
