Tipp Islamic centre condemns London terrorist attacks

Gardaí are continuing to question a man in connection with the London Bridge terror attack.

The man in his 30’s is being held under armed guard in Wexford after documentation linked him to one of the attackers Rachid Redouane.

The police investigation is continuing after London police recovered a body from the Thames River earlier.

Meanwhile the head of a Tipperary Islamic centre believes Ireland will not be targeted by terrorist attacks.

However Haji Firaz Nahi of the Tipperary Islamic Community Centre in Clonmel says Ireland does need to boost its security levels to help prevent future terrorist incidents like the London attacks.

Speaking on Tipp Today with Fran Curry he said groups could use the country as a stepping stone to launch attacks elsewhere in Europe.
