Gardai are investigating another fatal road crash in Tipperary.

Gardai are investigating another fatal road crash in Tipperary in which two people have lost their lives.

The men, on his his late 20's and one in his 50's, died when their lorry stuck a bend on a minor road on the outskirts of Clonmel at around 9.15 this morning.

It happened at the first of a series of bad bends on the turn off for Rathgormack at Tickinor and gardai say the lorry the victims were travelling in lost control and careered into one of the beds.

One man died at the scene while the other lost his fight for life enroute to Waterford Regional Hospital.

It's understood both men were from the Kilmacthomas area of Waterford and they were making a delivery to Clonmel.

The area where the crash happened has been sealed off for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.

Gardai are also appealing to anyone with information on the incident or who may have noticed the lorry – which may have been carrying machinery at the back, prior to the collision to contact them at Clonmel Garda Station on 052-6177640, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station. 

It brings to 11 the number of people who have lost their lives in the Tipperary Garda Division so far this year following fatal crashes in Thomastown, Thurles, and The M7 at Roscrea, Fethard, Two Mile Borris, Rathronan-Clonmel, Cashel and on the outskirts of Nenagh.
