Gardai appeal for witnesses after fatal crash in Carrick-on-Suir

The pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a truck on the N24 in Carrick-on-Suir shortly before 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon.

It's the first fatality on Tipperary's roads this year after 17 people lost their lives on the county's roads in 2014.

Superintendent Willie Leahy from Clonmel Garda Station is appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the accident to come forward.
