Gardai investigating incidents in Tipp town and Clonmel

Gardaí in the county are investigating two separate incidents which occurred overnight.

It’s understood that there was an attempted break-in at the Tesco supermarket in Tipperary Town – while in Clonmel a man in his early 30’s was assaulted and robbed at his home in Elm Park.

Gardaí in Tipperary town are investigating an attempted burglary at a supermarket in the early hours of this morning.

It’s understood the culprits attempted to gain entry to the Tesco store on the Limerick road in the town through the roof.

Gardaí were alerted at around 3am this morning, when the alarm activated – and attended the scene.

The culprits fled upon the arrival of Gardaí and Inspector James White is appealing for the public’s assistance in their inquiry…

Separately, an incident occurred in Clonmel in the early hours of this morning – between 1.30am and 5.30 am in the Elm Park area.
