Further doubt cast on future of x-ray services in Cashel

The x-ray machine in Cashel hospital is beyond repair casting doubt on the future of the service at Our Lady's.

X-Ray services have been put on hold at the Cashel facility due to a problem with the machine.

It has now emerged that the equipment is beyond repair with the replacement cost possibly as much as €100,000.

A decision on this expenditure is expected within days.

Tipperary Independent Deputy Michael Lowry says that it must be replaced as any decision to remove x-ray services in Cashel is in breach of a High Court agreement.
