Funeral takes place today of Roscrea crash victim.


Former students at the Cistercian College in Roscrea are expected to be among the hundreds due to attend the funeral of a past pupil killed in a road collision on Sunday.

18-year-old Barry Nash from East Clare died after the car he was driving skidded off the M7 Motorway near Roscrea during bad weather on Sunday night.

The late All Ireland Minor Handball Champion was returning to college in Dublin when the crash occurred and widespread tributes have been pouring in for him over the past number of days.

He will be laid to rest following funeral mass at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Scarriff.
