Funding allocated for National routes in Tipperary.


Nearly four million Euro has been allocated for works on the national road network in Tipperary this year.

According to Minister of State Alan Kelly the National Roads Authority has confirmed €2.6 million for works in the north of the county with €1.1 million for south Tipperary.

The largest allocation is €1.7 million for road realignment works on the N52 Nenagh – Borrisokane road at Congar/Ballyluskey.

Among the projects being undertaken in South Tipperary are safety works on the N24 at Ballinderry near Carrick on Suir and at the Pill Road in Carrick as well as at Toureen Cross near Cahir.

€770 thousand has been allocated to South Tipperary for maintenance works while the figure for North Tipp is €635 thousand.
