Former Minister Hanafin rules out Tipperary election

Former Fianna Fail Minister and Thurles Native Mary Hanafin has firmly ruled out standing in the Tipperary constituency in the next General Election.

In recent weeks she's ruled out challenging for a seat in Europe in the May election but says that she may stand for the Dáil again.

Speaking on Tipp Today she expressed her belief that the next general election will be a bloodbath in the county – and very challenging for those who put their names forward given the sheer size of the county.
