Flooding on Tipp roads as cold snap approaches

Motorists are being warned about flooding in various parts of the County this morning.

A Status Yellow rain warning’s in place for the southern half of the country until 9 tonight.

There is already some serious flooding on the main Thurles to Nenagh road – The R 498 near Tippo International at Kilkeary and then again a short distance away close to Tipperary County Council’s Dog Control Unit at Knockalton – Approach with extreme care..

Gardai are warning of surface water on the M7 Dublin/Limerick Rd between J22 Roscrea and J25 Nenagh Centre.

Tipp FM listeners have also reported flooding on the N7 old road from Nenagh to limerick

While flooding is reported on the Kilmeaden/Carrick-on-Suir Rd (R680) at Pouldrews bends, north of the N25 jct.#

But motorists are being warned that there are reports of spot flooding right across the county

There are also warnings that road conditions are set to worsen in the coming days,
with weather reports forecasting a cold snap on the way, with the risk of icy roads.
