The Justice Minister admits broad changes are needed at management level of An Garda Síochána but says she still has confidence in the Commissioner.
The comments come after revelations Nóirín O’Sullivan didn’t inform Frances Fitzgerald of financial irregularities at Templemore training college in Tipperary when she had received legal advice to do so in 2015.
Minister Fitzgerald says that was at the Commissioner’s discretion, and again backed Nóirín O’Sullivan.
