Fears path of least resistance will be chosen for Eirgrid

Eirgrid is being warned not to use the public submissions over the Gridlink project as a method to find the path of least resistance.

The company received 35 thousand submissions from communities in the affected areas including South Tipperary – opposed to the 40 metre high electricity pylons being erected locally.

Communications Minister Pat Rabbitte has asked Eirgrid to prepare an initial list of the main issues raised.
