Expansion planned for Tipperary meat plant

A major revamp is planned for a meat processing plant in South Tipperary.

Anglo Beef Processors have applied to the local authority for permission to demolish existing buildings on their site at Kilcommon, Cahir.

Among the structures to be knocked are the existing animal by-product processing building, workshop and offices with a gross floor area of over 2,700 square metres.

The plan is to replace these with a new development covering just over 5,000 square metres to include a new animal by-product processing building.
