EU aware of Ireland’s interests, says Kenny

Enda Kenny's told a Dáil committee there was no hysteria or panic in Brussels in the past two days about Brexit.

And he says his counterparts know exactly what Ireland wants when Britain leaves.

Meanwhile a Scottish MEP has told Enda Kenny to mind his own business when it comes to Brexit.

The UKIP's David Coburn accused the Taoiseach of being a “trouble-making messenger boy” after he appealed on behalf of Scotland during yesterday's EU Brexit talks.

Mr Coburn says the Irish need to stay out of internal British affairs.
