South Tipp temporary Boil Notice lifted

A precautionary boil notice in place for part of the Galtee supply in South Tipperary has now been lifted.

Irish Water took the measure earlier this week following the temporary failure of a chlorine dosing system for the Springmount Source.

It affected around 150 households from the outskirts of Golden on the Cashel side and along the N 74 up to the outskirts of Cashel itself.

The temporary fault was quickly rectified but the notice remained in place to allow for testing of the supply – It’s been given the all clear by the HSE and Irish Water has lifted the boil notice
