There are claims that Thurles is being covered by just a single ambulance on weekends, even on match days which could bring an extra forty thousand people to the town.
The situation was highlighted over the weekend after a woman who was attending the Munster final at the Tipperary venue was rushed to hospital by car as no ambulance was available.
