Mayor of Clonmel Garret Ahearn has called for action after a number of students have been refused seats on school buses.
Hundreds of parents throughout Tipperary received letters alerting them that their children would not be able to avail of the service.
The news comes just two weeks before students are due to return to school leaving many wondering how they will manage.
However Councillor Ahearn says the situation can easily be resolved.
