Children, parents and providers in Tipperary will benefit from improvements to the pre-school scheme which come into effect from next month.
The move – which was part of the 2018 Budget -will see the weekly payment for children registered on the scheme rise by 7%.
Fine Gael General Election candidate Garret Ahearn says it will lead to improved services and hopefully job creation.
