Major plans have been unveiled for the former Antigen site in Roscrea.

It’s proposed to convert part of it into a restaurant with long term ambitions to develop a number of other businesses on the site including a wholesale business, a gym, creche and a printing works.

It’s the brainchild of Limerick businessman Tony Donlan.

He has already revamped the well known Thatched Cottage bar and restaurant in Ballycommon

Roscrea based County Councillor Michael Smith says the ambitious plans will hopefully breathe a new lease of life into the large Antigen site.
