Dairygold planning revamp of one of their Tipperary stores.

Dairygold is planning a major revamp of one of their Tipperary stores.

The co-operative – which has its headquarters in Mitchelstown – has submitted proposals for its New Inn outlet.

The plans before Tipperary County Council include the demolition of a number of existing structures on their New Inn site.

These include the disused milk processing buildings and the retail store.

Dairygold Agri Business Ltd plans on replacing these with a new agri & retail branch comprising of a shop and store.

The plans also include new concrete yard areas and customer car parking together with a revised entrance.

A decision is due from Tipperary County Council’s planning department in early March.

Dairygold has 39 outlets dotted across Munster including Cashel, Cahir, Hollyford and New Inn

Just recently John O’Gorman from Clogheen in South Tipp was elected chairman of Dairygold which is Ireland’s largest farmer-owned co-operative.
