Two in court in connection with South Tipp incidents

Two people have appeared in court in relation to incidents in the South Tipperary area earlier this week.

One was in connection with a spate of criminal damage in Fethard while the second has been charged with a burglary in Clonmel.

In the first case before a special sitting of Clonmel District Court yesterday – 22 Aaron Connolly with an address at 129 Elm Park, Clonmel appeared on five counts of criminal damage . He was subsequently released on bail and is back before the courts at a later date

It related to an incident in the early hours of last Tuesday morning during which four cars were damaged in the Fethard area while damage was also caused to a public house – A beer keg was thrown through the window of McCarthy’s Bar on Main Street.

In the second case before the courts yesterday Christopher Hogan of 67 Bianconi Drive in Clonmel was charged with burglary and criminal damage at Catalpa on Sarsfield Street in the town.

Following Garda objections to bail the 42 year old was remanded in custody to appear in Clonmel District Court on September 4th.
