Three Tipperary members of a Limerick motorcycle club who attacked and robbed a member of a rival club have avoided criminal convictions.

Each of them had pleaded guilty to the incident which happened the day before their victim murdered another biker.

51 year old Seamus Duggan of Ballyhane, Cappawhite, James McCormack – aged 41 – of Reddans Walk, Dundrum Road, Tipp Town and 51 year old Raymond Neilon of Commonaline, Cappawhite are all members of the Road Tramps Motorcycle Club which is based in Murroe.

The three had previously admitted taking the “club jacket” from Alan McNamara in June of 2015 as he and his wife were leaving a pun in Doon.

He was a member of rival club the Caballeros.

The Limerick Leader reports that the three had raised €6,000 for charity which was to be donated to the Bedford Row Family Project at the request of Alan McNamara.

He is currently serving a life sentence for murdering Roadtramps MC member Andrew O’Donoghue the day after his jacket was taken from him.

At Limerick circuit Court yesterday Judge Tom O’Donnell applied the provisions of the Probation Act meaning the three men avoid a criminal conviction.
