Gardaí have arrested two Latvian nationals in connection with labour exploitation in West Tipp.

Another Latvian national was found wandering in a field near New Inn last Thursday, and Gardaí were subsequently called.

The man told Gardaí he had been living in Cashel with other Latvian nationals and was being forced to work against his will.

Two men, one living in Cashel and one living in Tipp town, were arrested under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Both men, aged in their 20s, were released without charge, and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
