Works to expand Nenagh Courthouse are set to get underway this month.
It will see the provision of a full time office for the Circuit Court.
The contract has been awarded to Roscrea building firm, Frank Murray Builders, with a view to the work being completed in September.
It’s seen as beneficial to the people of North Tipp who up until now have had to conduct Circuit Court business through the Courthouse in Clonmel or Limerick.
Fianna Fail TD Jackie Cahill says this is a clear indication that the future of the court in Nenagh is secure.
