Coty plant in Nenagh goes up for sale

The Coty Plant in Nenagh has been put up for sale.

It comes following the news that the facility is set to close, with the loss of more than 200 jobs by the end of this year.

The Coty cosmetics manufacturing plant in the Gortlandroe Industrial Estate in Nenagh has been listed for sale on the international market.

Colliers International has set the guide price for the facility at 3.4 million euro.

The site measures 19.6 acres in total, with 6 acres of expansion lands, and it comprises 13 buildings with a total floor area of more than 23,000 sq.m – arranged in two large buildings with 11 ancillary utility units.

The buildings include administration offices, production and packaging areas, labs and warehouses.

Significant upgrades were also made to the plant in the past five years to retain its status as a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

The site is also zoned for industrial use.

The sale comes as staff at the plant had been informed of its imminent closure in March 2017 – with the company looking set to cease operations by the end of this year.

The closure of the facility, which produces various brands of beauty products, will result in the loss of around 200 jobs.
