244 people with Covid-19 are being treated in Irish hospitals today – the highest figure since May.

It’s an increase of six patients since yesterday morning.

Eight of those patients are being treated in University Hospital Limerick, which serves North Tipp, and two are in South Tipperary General.

Figures from the HSE show that last night there were 29 people with the disease in ICU nationally.
