Drop in numbers being treated in hospital for coronavirus

The number of people with Covid-19 at the country’s hospitals has dropped in the last 24 hours.

16 people with confirmed cases are receiving hospital treatment across the country according to latest HSE figures, four fewer than the figure 24 hours previously.

Four of those people are in University Hospital Limerick, while there are no confirmed cases on site at South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel.

The number of people in intensive care with Covid-19 has also dropped to six.
