People in South Tipperary are being warned of a group operating at present, who are claiming to be from the County Council.
A team of contractors have been offering to lay white lines in car parking areas at a charge.
They claim to be from the County Council.
But a spokesperson for the local authority says no contractors have been engaged to complete such works and anyone who encounters the group and is in any doubt, should contact the Roads section of South Tipp County Council.
