Concern about hare kills at Borrisoleigh meeting

Concern has been expressed about the high number of hares killed at a coursing meeting in Borrisoleigh.

New documents released to the Campaign for the Abolition of Cruel Sports under Freedom of Information reveal that a large number of hares have been killed at coursing event across the country, so much so that the National Parks and Wildflife service has expressed concern.

The concern surrounding the Borrisoeligh event centers on a meeting where up to 7 hares were killed.

John Fitzgerald from the Abolition of Cruel Sports says this shows that muzzling is having no effect on keeping hare kill numbers down
