Clarification sought on removal of Coronary Care Unit from Nenagh.

A North Tipperary Councillor has sought clarification from the HSE on a number of matters in relation to the removal of Coronary Care Services from Nenagh General Hospital.

Seamie Morris' request comes in the wake of details given to Tipp FM that 3 to 5 beds would be ring fenced at the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick for the care of patients from North Tipperary.

The Sinn Fein representative is now asking if these beds will be kept available for Tipp patients even if the Coronary Care Unit in Limerick is under severe pressure.
