Camogie quarter-finals thrown into disarray

Both counties finished level in their group with identical records, and a drawing of lots this morning was to determine who would meet Wexford in the quarter finals in Thurles on Saturday.

A proposal of a play-off between Clare and Dublin was dismissed by the Camogie Association, and they've yet to comment on the counties' withdrawals.

The Clare board say the Camogie Association's stance is a regressive step.

Tipp are due to meet Cork in Saturday's other quarter-final at Semple Stadium though there's speculation that both these teams and Wexford will also withdraw from the competition over the situation.
