A Tipperary pharmacy is one of two being investigated by the Irish Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
for professional misconduct.

Beatrice Ross, who runs a pharmacy in the Sqaure in Cahir and also one in Fermoy, is being investigated
over the submission to the reimbursement scheme of 669 medications that were never dispensed.

They are looking in to the possibility that the medications were dispensed to people other than the named patients
and without prescription.

The allegations relate to incidents in both Cahir and Fermoy on dates between February and July of 2013.

An inquiry in to the matter began yesterday and is due to last until friday.
