CAB investigating land purchase in Tipperary region

The Criminal Assets Bureau is investigating the sale of land in Tipperary as part of a criminal investigation.

This follows on from a number of searches conducted in the region yesterday.

The searches were carried out yesterday afternoon by the Criminal Assets Bureau assisted by members of the Regional Support unit and local Gardai.

Searches were carried out at a number of locations across Tipperary, Clare and Limerick. The operation also involved the search of a number of private residences and business premises.

Among the items seized by officials from CAB were documentation, mobile phones, devices and computer equipment.

No arrests have been made but Gardai say part of their investigation will centre on the sale and purchase of land in the region.

Ongoing investigations are also being made in to the purchase of vehicles by organised criminal groups in the region.
