Busy year ahead for SEMRA

Just this week they were involved in a rescue operation on Slievenamon when a woman was injured in a fall.

However despite the increased number of callouts the voluntary group is having to survive on a reduced budget.

The mountain rescue team recently moved into a new base in Clonmel thanks in the main to the fundraising efforts of the organisation.

Jimmy Barry of SEMRA says the 40 strong group is very much dependent on peoples generosity.
