An Post is not for turning on its decision to close its office in Newcastle.
Locals in the South Tipp village had hoped the company would change its mind.
The post office is to close early next year with operations transferred 8 kilometres away to Ardfinnan.
Local County Councillor Martin Lonergan was among many who had raised concerns with An Post and asked them to review the decision.
